Two things: Plaid & let's be honest…. plaid. It's the one trend that is timeless, current and versatile, all at the same time.
Plaid has been a big part of the 90s era-from Cher in Clueless to Corey Mason in Empire Records. It's proved its versatility in two unapologetic ways: the “preppy” and the “grunge” schoolgirl look. In Clueless, Cher repped Beverly Hills with her designer plaid minis, knee highs, and fuzzy pink pen. On the other end in Empire Records, which by the way you should already be out and renting it if you haven't already watched it, Corey Mason switches it up with some cool Doc Martens, furry crop tops and some sweet tunes at the record store.
Just these two examples prove my point of how effortless and all around flexible this pattern can be. It's safe to say, Plaid is here to stay!
